10 km away from my village, Saint Martial Viveyrols, you can visit a wonderful place : Salles-Lavalette. Village of South Charente, it is about 30 km from Angoulême on the Lizonne river.

you can eat typical Charentais meals... and drink of glass of Pineau des Charentes (Please, go to Maine Giraud, close to Blanzac, a few km away, former proprety of French author Alfred de Vigny... They produce the best Cognac and Pineau of the area !!)
